| Tax deductible donations and regular monthly amounts mean we can better fund and plan our care for the birds and wildlife who need us. Please do consider printing and filling in the form to make a regular donation that will save and care for countless creatures who without your help, will suffer. The world is awash with charities in need of help, so I understand the difficulty of making choices on where to put your donations. But I am the only voice the birds and wildlife in my care have, so for them, I ask that this be the charity that you choose. Thank you.
Characters we’ve met
We are always looking for sponsors for the permanent residents at the centre, the ones who will never be able to return to nature due to the severity of their injuries or the risks. Companies, schools and individuals are encouraged to consider sponsoring one of these residents. The pictures you can see on this site are part of our album of both full time residents as well as those that passed through our doors and back onto a life well lived.
Sam the swan spent approximately four months at the sanctuary after an horrific traffic accident. We nursed him back to health and he has since taken up residence on a local lake. He has now successfully fathered three large families and remains my pal when I go to feed him and his friends.
Tyson the European Eagle Owl was unfortunately evicted from his residence when his owner became frightened of him. When he came to the sanctuary he was close to death through starvation. Now he is and always will be, a permanent resident at the centre. Happy and content in a life without fear or hunger – thanks to people like you.
Fernando was a poor bedraggled fox cub, orphaned when his mum was killed on the road; we collected him from the road side. He was crying and frightened when he arrived. We reared him up for 22 weeks the trained him to fend for himself and he is now living happily in a private wood with a friend and repaying the landowner by keeping the vermin in check.
At the sanctuary at the moment, there are over 150 different birds and animals in residence, including rare owls, ducks, blackbirds, finches, buzzards, kestrels, rabbits and hedgehogs. Do please call or write if you would like to get more information or arrange for us to visit you. |
